The Carnegie Library portion of the Marlborough Library was restored during the construction project. (Shutterstock / Yingna Cai) MARLBOROUGH, MA — It's time to check out books in Marlborough again. The Marlborough Public Library reopens to the public Monday following a two-year, $24 million renovation that expanded the downtown building and restored some of its historic features. The renovation removed a 1960s-era addition and replaced it with a new one, adding close to 16,000 square-feet of space to the library.
