Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner has collaborated with local banks and credit unions to launch a new banking certificate program. The certificate in banking fundamentals addresses a need for bank workers, according to a Thursday press release from the college. 'Providing relevant education and training opportunities that directly support our community and industry partners is part of our mission,' MWCC President James Vander Hooven said in the press release. 'This new program demonstrates that what we are doing is relevant and applicable to our communities.
