Marlborough – Elaine D. (Matthews) Baker, 88, of Marlborough, MA and former long-time resident of Hudson, MA, died on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at UMASS Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester, MA. She was the beloved wife of 40 years to the late Charles R. Baker who died in 1995. Elaine was born in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Harold and Catherine (Lent) Matthews. She was raised in Watertown, MA attending local schools and was a graduate of Watertown, High School. She met her husband Charles at Fort Devens in Massachusetts while he was serving in the U.
