GE HealthCare Technologies Inc., which spun off from the Boston-based conglomerate at the beginning of the year, has acquired a California-based AI healthcare company, GE HealthCare announced Thursday. Caption Health is known for creating clinical applications to help early disease detection and uses AI in ultrasound scans, which compliments GE HealthCare, a leading maker of ultrasound machines. GE HealthCare declined to share the cost of the acquisition, but said that the company will fund the transaction with cash on hand.
