MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) _ Boston Scientific Corp. (BSX) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $188 million. On a per-share basis, the Marlborough, Massachusetts-based company said it had profit of 12 cents. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to 43 cents per share. The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 12 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 44 cents per share.
